Cooker Hoods |
The
best way to remove steam and odours is to extract the air out of the room via
ducting. This may not always be possible so the only alternative is to
recirculate, this is where air is taken in through the grease filter and passed
through a charcoal filter before re-entering the room via an opening in the
hood. Most cooker hoods will extract or recirculate. But not all hoods come
complete with charcoal filters. Check with the supplier and if required order
charcoal filters with the hood.

Not Shown : Certain cooker hoods are available with an independent motor which can be situated in the roof area or on an outside wall, offering extraction with lower noise levels in the kitchen. To choose the correct extraction rate for your kitchen use this simple calculation : Volume of kitchen (length x width x height) e.g. 4m x 3m x 2.5m = 30m3 (total volume of kitchen) Minimum airflow required would be 30 x 6 = 180m3 Maximum flow rate would be 30 x 12 = 360m3. |
