In recent years the
main improvements in dishwasher performance have been related to energy and
water consumption as well as in the appliance sound levels. Modern
dishwashers use less than 20 litres of water and operate at noise levels
of 47db up to 58db.
When choosing your appliance check the individual specification for consumption levels, also all dishwashers are now rated 'for energy, wash performance and drying performance. AAA being the most efficient machine. Integrated dishwashers come in two sizes: 600mm and 450mm these take 12 place settings and 8 place settings respectively. With the 600mm wide there is a choice of fully integrated (taking a full height door) and the semi integrated (taking a furniture door but leaving the control panel and handle showing on the dishwasher). The 450mm wide dishwashers are limited to the fully integrated version but they will take a choice of a 450mm or 500mm wide furniture door. Semi integrated models are available in Stainless Steel, White or Black. All the above are for building under the work surface. Should you require this appliance at a higher level then you need an In Column Dishwasher made to build into a tall housing, therefore the appliance is only 550mm wide, but it still has a capacity of 12 place settings.
